My Bathroom Scale stopped workingUpdated 10 months ago

Step 1: Check and Reinsert Batteries

If your scale is battery-powered, the first step is to examine the batteries. Sometimes, a minor glitch or poor battery connection can cause the scale to stop working. Here's what you should do:

  1. Remove the batteries: Carefully open the battery compartment and take out the batteries. Ensure they are inserted correctly and that there is no corrosion on the battery terminals. Clean any corrosion if present.
  2. Reinsert the batteries: Gently place the batteries back in, making sure they are properly seated and in the correct orientation.

Step 2: Replace Batteries

If reinserting the batteries doesn't resolve the problem, it's time to consider replacing them. Batteries can lose their charge over time, and a fresh set might be all your scale needs to function correctly.

Here's how to troubleshoot a rechargeable scale:

  1. Check the charging cable: Ensure that the charging cable is securely connected to both the scale and the power source. Sometimes, loose connections can interrupt the charging process.
  2. Charge for at least 2 hours: Plug the scale into a wall socket using the provided charger and cable. Leave it to charge for a minimum of 2 hours. Charging times may vary depending on the model, so consult your scale's manual for specific guidance.
  3. Try a different power outlet
